Job Summary

CenturyLink is looking for a motivated Senior Overlay for product-focused account development within the greater APAC region supporting a suite of Content Distribution Network (CDN) services and related product sets to drive increased product sales, increase product brand awareness, and grow product penetration in the assigned territory.

Job Description

Position Objectives:

• Partner with existing Account Directors, Sales Directors, and General Managers in the assigned region to discover opportunities, penetrate accounts, and close new CDN business.

• Develop and Manage customer relationships in order to gain strategic positioning with decision makers, retain existing revenue and obtain additional business.

• Provide a continuous feedback loop to Product and Engineering for product enhancement and improvement.

• Continuous learning and development to maintain and increase knowledge of new media distribution technologies and selling points including enhancing your own and the incumbent sales force’s expertise in the company's content delivery products and solutions.

• Work with incumbent sales teams and internal resources to develop and implement sales plans that provide clearly defined strategies, tactics and timeframes to maximize revenue

• Take product expertise and sales ownership of the designated geographic territory

• Develop sales in the designated target market(s) by identifying new sales opportunities with prospective enterprise customers headquartered in the region by cold calling, premise visits, networking, lead generation, proposal submission, and customer meetings.

• Utilize Salesforce.com to provide accurate and detailed weekly forecast funnel of identified and proposed opportunities in order to meet or exceed sales quota requirements.

  • Take product expertise and sales ownership of the designated geographic territory

  • Develop sales in the designated target market(s) by identifying new sales opportunities with prospective enterprise customers headquartered in the region by cold calling, premise visits, networking, lead generation, proposal submission, and customer meetings.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• 5+ years of successful sales and account management experience in Media Distribution or a related field

• Experience in successfully executing complex sales cycles with CXOs.

• Proven success in the solution selling of Content Delivery/Media Distribution services.

• Proven experience and track record of success in hunting, prospecting, and new account development.

• Ability to think strategically, develop tactics and execute

• Ability to influence and identify champions, both internally and externally

• This is a Sales and Customer Facing role that typically requires at least 50% or more of time conducting sales activities outside of the office.

• This role also requires a regular office presence in support of sales management and teams.

• Proficient in MS office products: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Excellent communication skills (oral, written and presentation)

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field or applicable years of experience.

Preferred Requirements:

• Commercially astute and driven by delivering results

• Highly organized and able to change focus and reassess priorities quickly.

• Able to build long-term customer relationships based upon honesty and trust.

• 5 years of Solution selling in a Telco / Content Distribution Network (CDN) or digital media-focused company

• Experience with Salesforce.com

Education

Bachelors or Equivalent in Computer Science or Marketing
